These terms govern the use of StarEventra by Event Organisers and Customers.
1. Definitions
- Platform refers to this ticketing website.
- Event Organiser refers to any person or organisation creating and selling tickets.
- Customer refers to any person purchasing or receiving tickets through the Platform.
2. Use of the Platform
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account, purchasing tickets, or listing events. You agree not to use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes.
3. Ticket Sales
All ticket sales are made on behalf of the Event Organiser. The Platform provides ticketing services only and is not responsible for the operation or quality of any event.
4. Organiser Fees
Event Organisers agree to the following fee:
- A 2.2% secure payment processing fee on each successful transaction.
This fee is deducted before funds are paid to the Event Organiser.
5. Customer Fees
Customers purchasing paid tickets agree to the following fee:
- A $0.50 AUD ticket processing fee for every ticket sold.
This fee is added at checkout and helps cover secure payment handling and e-ticket delivery.
6. Payments
Payments to Event Organisers will be processed after ticket sales are completed, subject to any applicable payment processing timeframes and verification requirements.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund policies are determined by the Event Organiser unless otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law. If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, customers should contact the Event Organiser regarding refunds.
8. Event Changes
The Event Organiser is responsible for notifying customers of any changes to an event, including venue, date, or time.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for reviewing event details before purchasing tickets. Lost, stolen, or transferred tickets may not be replaced unless permitted by the Event Organiser.
10. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Create fraudulent events.
- Sell counterfeit or unauthorised tickets.
- Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.
- Use automated software or bots to abuse the Platform.
11. Privacy
Personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment information is securely processed through Square and is not stored by the Platform.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for:
- Event cancellations or postponements.
- Actions or omissions of Event Organisers.
- Losses arising from incorrect information supplied by users.
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.
13. Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, illegal, or abusive behaviour.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
